The Ford Escort MK1 is not only synonymous with rallying, but with circuit racing as well. In 1971, the works Broadspeed team entered the British Saloon Car Championship in this striking Castrol livery.
Piloted by John Fitzpatrick the car proved to be exceptionally quick, able to mix it with the big powerful V8 American cars, often finding itself at the sharp end of the grid.
