Amerigo Vespucci is the Naval Academy of the Italian military navy. It was launched in 1931 in Castellammare di Stabia's dockyards. Lieutenant-Colonel Francesco Rotundi was the planner that he inspired for lines and proportions to 3-masts vessel of heroic age of sail, with a length of 83 m, a mainmast of 55 m and a sail surface of 3100 m2. It's the true pride of the Italian navy.
