FreshLinc specialises in the total supply chain management of temperature controlled fresh, chilled and horticultural products throughout the UK and Europe. 'Transported' is a programme funded by Arts Council England to raise engagement with the arts in South Lincolnshire. For their first partnership project, Transported and FreshLinc commissioned artist Alisha Miller to create digital artwork for ten lorries. Alisha's drawings capture connections between products FreshLinc deliver with those who grow and pick them along with the stunning landscapes in which they are grown. This artwork, featuring links with aviation and The Wash, has proved very popular and compliments the Company's 150th DAF Livery.
Alisha Miller rose to fame when winning Year of the Artist with Transit Art, her innovative use of exhibiting artwork on the exterior canvas's of articulated lorry trailers, blurring the boundaries between advertising spaces and spaces for art. Alisha's artwork is big, bold, colourful, eye catching, beautiful, uplifting and familiar. Alisha enjoys working with others, dipping into other people's day jobs, the ones that make society exist and function. This artwork is the bombing range at RAF Holbeach discovered during her visits to pumpkin fields, in the distance is one of two strange islands, an abandoned 70's experiment to store fresh water, now home to migrating birds and the Battle of Britain Memorial flight, suggested by many, completes this Lincolnshire landscape.
