C. G. Hughes Haulage was formed in 2008 by Colin Gail Hughes. Based in Greenlaw in the Scottish Borders, the firm's sole DAF XF 105 is usually coupled to a Freuhauf bulk trailer carrying grain and malt for Simpsons Malt Ltd from Berwick. Their distinctive livery was designed by Colin Michael Shepherd Graphics and features a silhouette of a piper at Eilean Donan Castle as well as Clyde, the 2014 Commonwealth Games Mascot. A specifically designed tartan band wraps around the cab and the design is completed with their children's names, Ciaran Leona.
