The Hawker Hunter F1 first entered RAF service in 1954, with the FGA.9 variant being introduced and tasked with close - air - support from 1960 to 1971. Its Avon turbojet engine could propel the aircraft to an impressive 715mph (.94Mach). Hunters were armed with four 30mm Aden cannons and rocke t pods, plus external fuel tanks, dependent on mission requirement. Marking this centenary year of the founding of the Royal Air Force, Revells highly detailed model features fine surface detail, fully outfitted cockpit, undercarriage, Sabrina spent - cas ing blisters and a choice of rocket pods and external fuel tanks. This Model Set version also includes; Contacta Professional glue, paintbrush - selected Aqua acrylic paints.
A challenging model construction kit of this British fighter aircraft. In the FGA.9 version the famous Hawker Hunter was used among others, in the ground attack role by the Royal Air Force.
